Harry Potter is one of the most recognizable entertainment brands of our generation with its series of books, movies, toys, games and other content that germinated from the simple idea of a single mother in England has turned into a phenomenon worth of billions of dollars. JK Rowling has been the main driving force behind the Harry Potter brand
The Harry Potter book series has been read by all age group irrespective of the location gender etc. I am really happy to say that Harry Potter was the first novel that I fully read with great interest and completed (I am saying this because most of the other novels I would start and leave it half way) and for me it was more sort of peer pressure to read Harry Potter during my high school days and I was astonished by the kind of fanfare it had in my school.
People use to compete with each other to see who read it fast and in how many days and they used to discuss all about the books during breaks. This sort of generated a curiosity in my mind and then I started reading this book at least to join the conversation I was literally amazed when I saw the movie as I was able to imagine the book in my mind and see the movie. The movie and the visual appeal it had, brought the book in front of my eyes
What set this series apart from other book series or brands of the past was that the word of mouth buzz did not only take place in books stores and school playgrounds, but it was increasingly taking place on the internet.
